waiting is hard to do!!!
Still waiting for some good news. The hold is still in place and our little girl turned 7 months yesterday. :( She has gained 3 pounds in a month and a half so we were happy to hear that. She is still only in the 5th percentile. We are starting off another week with great hope. We have been told that the letter should arrive any day telling our orphanage that they can resume work. If we are able to get our papers submitted to court by May 9th, then we will only travel once. If our papers are submitted after May 9th, we will have to make two trips. This would be very difficult emotionally and financially, but we are trusting God's plan for this adoption. All we can do right now is HOPE. We hope you had a special Easter with your family. We promise to update once we hear anything....

Waiting with you! Believing God will melt this mountain like wax!
Amen to the hard part. I love reading your updates. . . Can't wait until the headlines read, "Hold Lifted!!!!!"
I am waiting on an update from Lisa this week. She hasn't been able to get ahold of the office in St. Louis this week. These people are terrible with communicating, but I don't need to tell you that. :) I had heard that the two travel thing had been postponed until the rain season. What is your agency saying? There are always so many different stories out there. I will say that my agency often doesn't know the latest greatest. I usually give them the updates.
Yosef just turned 11 months last week. He is getting so big! I can't believe it. Tasfa!
I recently heard about your blog and story from mutual friends, the Garrett family (our boys play on the same baseball team). We are also adopting a little girl from Ethiopia and using CWA as our agency. We are in the final stages of our paperchase process - sending our dossier to NC in the next week or so... It is helpful to read about your journey and I'm praying for the hold to be lifted in the region your sweet little girl is being held. I would love to talk to you about your process - we live in Wesley Chapel. My email address is hdemaio@windstream.net.
praying for papers before may 9th!!!!!
Praying you get good news really soon!
There is nothing like adoption to remind us that there is nothing outside of God's sovereignty. He is using the longing you feel right now to grow you. Hang in there- she will be in your arms soon. Hugs- Leah
